Cumberlow’s is the Trading name for Cumberlow Compost Services Ltd. We take both green and mixed kitchen/green waste from the general public collected by the local authorities from green or brown bins (depending on the area) and from small commercial businesses.
We then recycle the green waste by way of an open windrow composting technique to produce high quality compost branded and sold as “Ace of Herts” compost. Mixed kitchen/green waste is composted by using an in vessel composting facility which is compliant with the Animal By Products Regulations (ABPR) By composting and thus recycling waste this reduces the need for landfill where the waste would have otherwise have gone. Furthermore, our composting process is 100 % organic.
Cumberlow’s is committed in helping the environment by not only recycling waste into a useable resource, but by also providing an alternative to peat and thus helping to save the unsustainable peat extraction which devastates the countryside.
